Terms of Service - Free Background Remover

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of free-background-remover.com (the “Service”), operated by Code Master BV, Antwerp, Belgium (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1) The Service

The Service allows you to upload images and generate background-removed results for download. The Service uses automated processing.

2) Accounts and eligibility

You may use limited features without an account.

Creating an account requires providing a valid email address and keeping your login credentials secure.

The Service is not specifically directed to children. If you are under 13, you should use the Service only with parental/guardian involvement where required by law.

3) Plans, limits, and fair use

We offer usage limits to prevent abuse and keep the Service reliable:

• • Guests (no account): up to 3 images per month for free
• • Signed-up users (free): up to 20 images per month for free
• • Paid plan: 200 processed images per month for $5/month, or $4/month billed annually (as shown at checkout)

We may adjust plans, pricing, or limits over time. Changes apply prospectively and will be reflected on the Service.

4) Your content and permissions

You keep ownership of images you upload.

To operate the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, store, and display your uploaded content and generated outputs only to:

• • provide downloads and previews,
• • maintain your job history (if logged in),
• • secure and operate the Service.

This license ends when you delete your content, except where we must retain certain records for legal obligations.

5) Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• • Upload content you do not have the right to use
• • Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• • Attempt to bypass usage limits or security controls
• • Interfere with or disrupt the Service (including probing, scanning, or scraping)
• • Upload malware or harmful code

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms or used the Service abusively.

6) Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.

7) Payments, cancellation, and refunds

Billing

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Prices and billing terms are shown at checkout.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you can continue using paid features until that period ends.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds, except where required by applicable law.

EU/EEA/UK consumer right of withdrawal

If you are an EU/EEA/UK consumer, you may have a legal right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days. However, for digital services/digital content, this right can be affected once you request immediate performance and start using the Service after purchase. Where required, we will present the necessary information during checkout.

8) Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that background removal results will be perfect for every image.

9) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• • Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or €0 if you are using the free version), except where such limits are not permitted by law.

10) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Belgium will have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise.
